What is a scalp microbiome?
Just as our gut has live bacteria — AKA ‘microbes’— so does our scalp. With its own unique ecosystem, the scalp is host to a range of microbes (from bacteria and fungi through to environmental toxins) that live on the scalp’s surface and feed on sebum (your hair’s natural oil). How does Straand help my hair?

How soon will I see results?
No two Straands of hair are the same, which means no two scalp microbiomes will balance out in the same way or at the same time. As a rule of thumb, we suggest adding scalp care into your beauty routine, stat! By massaging your scalp (from the scalp to roots and strands) with The Crown Cleanse, two to three times a week (completing a two-step rinse and repeat cycle), healthy hair and a balanced biome will be at your fingertips in no time.

DEFENSCALP™ is an anti-dandruff agent that works to rebalance your scalp microbiome without irritating you or your scalp. It’s speciality, is hydrating dry skin and strengthening the skin barrier, all while helping to soothe scalp concerns.
HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN
Reduces hair porosity while strengthening it from within resulting in healthier and shinier hair. Increases your hair’s ability to receive and retain moisture. Helps reduce breakage, eliminates frizz and tangles and makes your hair appear fuller. Leaves a protective film that protects against daily stresses. My hair type is 2B-3C curls, high porosity.
I love these products, as I have a very sensitive scalp that builds up and needs a good scrub.
I have to say though, the conditioner is too small and not as conditioning as I would like. U have to use a lot with my hair type. I get a 350 shampoo and scrub and only 200mL conditioner. For a curly hair girl with high porosity hair, i run out of conditioner quickly. I still have the original shampoo I bought and have to replace conditioner.
The conditioner is also lighter than my hair needs, as my hair gets stripped when I use the scrub and shampoo.
I don’t think I’ll buy bundle again as conditioner isn’t worth it. I might look into another conditioner to compliment this range. Shampoo does a wonderful job of cleaning scalp though and the serum is great

I had my package delivered while I was away on vacation. I had returned home and the package wasn’t by my door! I contacted Straand to see if the package was delivered and it was. I told them the situation and before I could reply they were already sending a replacement order free of charge. Their customer service was absolutely remarkable in this matter that wasn’t their fault. They didn’t have to send a new order at all! Cant wait to finally try these products!

On my first order I had the inconvenient that my shampoo bottle arrived half way open and the product was pretty much empty. I contacted Strand customer service support and they responded super fast and nicely. Best customer service I have ever experienced. They sent me a new bottle for free and it arrived faster than expected. I am very happy with their team and my products. Now is time to use them and see my results.
